Differentiated Instruction for Inclusive Classrooms Online Course
Course Description:
This course will equip learners with knowledge of new pedagogic approaches and strategies in order to be able to better understand, categories of differentiated instruction, to address the diversity present, and to able to fulfil their role of adequately preparing students for 21st century society and economy. The aim of this course is to help you build and promote a more inclusive and differentiated learning environment.
Learning Outcomes:
After this course learners will achieve the following learning outcomes:
- understand the main concept and characteristics of Differentiated Instruction
- understand the different styles of learners and adapt the course accordingly
- apply differentiation strategies and assessment techniques to their classroom
- explain the main concepts of diversity and to recognize the benefits of diversity in the classroom
- apply teaching methods that reinforce inclusion in the classroom
- understand the importance of enhancing their soft skills for teaching and to incorporate them as an essential component of their course

The learners have post-secondary qualification with credits to continue to higher education-level studies (EQF 5), or they are holders of a Bachelor (EQF 6) or Master (EQF 7) with working experience in the educational settings. Alternatively, it addresses the needs also of people (holders of EQF 6 & 7) that would like to work in the educational settings.
